I was so upset about my paycut (it's almost 300 bucks worth can, cb), I had to go out there and buy me some happiness.
T-Shirts!!!
One of my favourite childhood cartoons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So cute right? Cowabunga!!! Heh.
And an Obama tee in neon paint splatter detail. They made him into a pop art. Me likey.
All to wear with my ripped jeans and maybe, finally, my majorly-underused fuchsia tennis shoes. Yes I have a hot pink sneakers.
So shoot me.

MILD NIGHT
So "tonight" has come and gone and since I'm here sober enough to blog, you know the partying did not materialize. I'm not mad anymore. Just resigned. It was.. well, pleasant I guess.
Prior to that, at work, C attempted to steer the boat and make things go my way even though C's own teammates were dead set on their own plan. It was sweet.
C says (14:14): does elle know of tonight's plans?
f says (14:15): i told her.... BUT
f says (14:15): to be completely frank
f says (14:15): u also know she is not the party type so much right
f says (14:15): she's usually there cos i make her go on a guilt trip
f says (14:15): emotional blackmail
f says (14:15): etc
f says (14:15): i thnk
f says (14:16): im done forcing
f says (14:16): i'll be nice
f says (14:16): and forget all about this
C says (14:17): well
C says (14:17): go with us to the pub and we see from there? kilkenny on tap 1st la
f says (14:18): can i not?
C says (14:18): then mich adn tash how?
f says (14:19): tash is already out there attending some wedding
f says (14:19): we can all plan sth else
f says (14:19): it's fine
C says (14:24): tsk
C says (14:39): go to the pub with us lah
f says (14:40): i dun want la
C says (14:40): whyyy
f says (14:42): it's stupid
f says (14:42): dun laugh
f says (14:43): im just abit erm
f says (14:43): shy
C says (14:45): i know
C says (14:45): cna't believe u didn't warn elle abt mambo.. u know she needs to DRESS for it then can go
C says (14:45): i mean remind not warn
f says (14:49): haha.. so it's definitely not happening.. i can mobilize my friends i guess
C says (14:53): can't believe u didn't remind her
f says (14:55): im sorry?
C says (14:57): lol
C says (14:57): i just wanted this to work for u lah
f says (14:57): thanks.. :)
f says (14:57): i do want it to happen you know
C says (15:04): i do too
.........
C says (21:24): OI
f says (21:24): what
C says (21:24): go with us la
Eventually C won. I caved. It wasn't so bad hanging with that bunch of people, the cell group. I guess it helped that C was always on by my side the whole time, making sure I was constantly occupied and entertained.
Still gian though.
That was the mildest night out of my life.
Sigh.

PARTY PLANNER
While I enjoy being the office's appointed party planner for the most parts, sometimes it can be downright annoying.
It's exasperating when there are two clear distinct groups: the pubbers and the clubbers. It's like they are of the extreme opposite poles, like vampires and werewolves and they can never get to a happy middle.
I don't fucking get it. What's wrong with doing both? You get the best of both sides so why are u even whining and resisting? Is it so hard to co-exist?! The clubbers are willing to pub but the pubbers will never cross the invisible boundary line.
It's plain gnawing and today was the the last straw. The pubbers were mostly from C's desk. We call them the cell group sometimes for kicks. They are like adamantly unmovable. C is pretty much the only one from that desk who would sway on my side.
So now there's gonna be two separate parties on the same night. The newsroom is going to be split right down the middle. They are not backing down which means to be unified again, I have to cave and move the party somewhere mild, a sit-down nothing which will turn into a situation where I have to divulge more about myself cos that's what people do when they sit down and talk.
It got me miffed all over my 1.54 metres frame.
C says (19:58): so much for "making it happen"
C says (19:58): sigh
f says (19:58): it's like that when u try to recruit YOUR cell group
f says (19:58): im resigned
f says (19:59): and never going over your side again
f says (19:59): lesson learnt
C says (19:59): but u were so sure of yourself!
C says (19:59): hahaha
C says (20:00): come let's go get some air
f says (20:01): go ahead
f says (20:01): i just want to sit here n be pek cek
C says (20:02): well.. like i told u that day, sweetie, we are different
C says (20:02): they are just old lah
C says (20:03): either that or your charm didn't work on A
C says (20:03): lol
f says (20:03): *pek cek*
C says (20:03): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sj_U6vObUA
C says (20:03): groove to this, dun pek cek
f says (20:04): hmmph
C says (20:05): hey it is not my fault! i am on your side!
f says (20:07): right if u say so
C says (20:07): eh who needs them
C says (20:07): go there also sian right?
C says (20:08): stone all
f says (20:10): yeah i guess u're right
f says (20:10): SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
f says (20:11): tash is coming even though she is not skedded to work tmr, i just asked
f says (20:11): that took like what?
f says (20:12): diminutive effort
f says (20:12): one qns
f says (20:12): one ans
f says (20:12): done deal
C says (20:13): that's why i say
C says (20:13): there are party ppl, and there are pub ppl
C says (20:13): we know where we stand
C says (20:13): wat for wanna force
C says (20:13): after that night i gave up liao
C says (20:13): but u were so sure!
C says (20:13): haha!
f says (20:13): PEK CEK!!!!
f says (20:13): u still say
f says (20:13): i dun wanna talk to u ler
C says (20:15): but we are in the same team!
f says (20:20): okay la okay la
C says (20:21): use elle to rally lor
C says (20:21): i think she can
f says (20:29): im.not.rallying.anymore
f says (20:29): never
f says (20:29): again
C says (20:30): hahahahaha!
f says (20:31): dun friend u
C says (20:35): now u know why right
C says (20:35): that day still say i petty
f says (20:38): ya...
f says (20:38): i take that back
C says (20:53): actually Liz is keen i believe
f says (20:56): i dun mean to be a drenched duvet now. but i dun care already...
C says (20:56): i am just saying
C says (20:56): it's actually just A
f says (20:59): k
C says (21:01): so
C says (21:01): ask elle to try lah
C point says (21:01): liz told me she b4 she thinks it'd be fun
f says (21:01): drop it already la
f says (21:01): no mood ler
f says (21:02): i'll just plan sth with my friends if it doesnt happen
f says (21:02): no big
C says (21:02): but mich, tasha and elle are on!
C says (21:02): and me!
C says (21:02): how can u say that!
f says (21:04): cos im ever so slightly peeved?!
It went on like that for awhile. I got to give C some credit for attempting placate the very vexed up me through the night. Cos I'm telling you, writing this up I'm still pretty irked out by the sheer obstinateness.
I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens tonight.

FANGIRL
Shite. I think I'm a bigger fan of Kris Allen than I thought I was.
All this time, my friends knew I was rooting for him but apart from the occasional swooning, I had on a pretty blase attitude towards it all.
I mean, the whole Idol thing should have blown over by now. But I'm still kinda following up on him, so closely actually that it is beyond uncool.
Let see. I saw his interviews on Idol Tonight, Ellen, Leno AND on CNN's Larry King. Yup. Watched all of those vids. I also read the transcript of the AT&T chat he had exclusively with the people who voted for him.
I read countless articles of him. The best of course being Rolling Stones' take. I like this para particularly:
As of press time, both finalists have songs on the iTunes’ Songs Chart’s Top 10. Allen is in the lead with three tracks (Idol coronation tune “No Boundaries,” his acoustic rendition of Kanye West’s “Heartless” and stripped-down take on “Ain’t No Sunshine”) to Lambert’s one (his recording of Gary Jules’ haunting cover of “Mad World”). On the Top 100 Songs on iTunes, Lambert and Allen are tied with 11 tracks each, plus their Rock Week Duets (Lambert and Allison Iraheta’s “Slow Ride” and Allen and Danny Gokey’s “Renegade”). The rankings seem to confirm what many suspected throughout the season: Lambert is the favored live performer, while Allen has the edge in terms of recorded work.
I also got a hold of his studio version of No Boundaries. And thank god they rearranged the song for him so the high bits are adjusted and lowered. Sounds just as good even though the song, well, is bordering on cheesy. It grows on you though I find, like how some of our NDP songs do. Heh.
He did an acoustic version on Ellen. If you are anywhere close to being as wrapped up by the Kris Allen's craze as I am, you can watch it HERE.
So cute la.
And right now I think he and his wife, Katy, is damn sweet together and they should be married forever.
Okay end of uncool blog post. Don't run off telling anyone.
Shhhh!!

PIG
To further feed my sometimes sedentary lifestyle, I've been hunting high and low for the perfect bed tray so I can be on my MacBook in bed, even eat. I'm a pig so sue me.
Traditionally they look like this:
But of course being the fussy lady that I am, I think this is passe and meant for the weak and lazy. I am lazy but I don't necessarily want to announce it by one look casts upon my direction.
Definitely not this hospital tray either. This will set me straight into a state of self-pity and severe depression. Clearly we don't want that.
I've seen a couple favourable looking ones. But ideally, I need it to be white or black so it wouldn't destabilize the overall vibe of my room. Also it has to be modern, simple and chic. Preferably also, fuss-free and easy to clean.
This is good for the MacBook cos the angle is adjustable but I think it can be quite maa fan to keep on loosening the screw if I need to change from MacBook-ing to eating. Plus when I'm on my lappy, does it mean that I can't prop a cuppa coffee on the tray? Next!
Pretty. Of the right color that matches my room. But this will make cleaning a bitch. The sides, through the grills and all. No way. Next!
Cute. Simple. Ideal color. Cheap. But do I really need those magazine racks on the side? I doubt it. It'll be redundant and end up being host to layers of dust.
This is super stylish. I heart the simplicity. Still don't care much for the magazine rack. Though this one is easier to clean so maybe I'll make do.
This is sooooo close to perfect. It has place for both the MacBook and a glass of drink. Really stylish, fuss-free. A dream really. I just need it to be white or black damnit!
It comes in just this oak finish that I've been passionately trying to rid from my room these past years like Hitler getting the Jews out of Germany during the Holocaust. Why O why?!
Plus, yunno how much this costs?! It's the most expensive of the lot. Trust me to pick the most bank account damaging product. It's about USD$150. Piang ehyz. Too much!
So please please, if you see a bed tray you know I will see as ideal, give me a heads up.
PLEASE!!!

THE NEW IDOL
OMFG. He won. Kris Allen.
I cannot believe it! I'm in awe.
Perez Hilton is going to cuss til his mouth turns blue black after all that massive promo for Adam Lambert on his site. I mean I love Adam. He's fab. I would actually buy tickets for his show.
But aww. Kris. He's heartmelting.
You know why he won don't you? Cos on chatboxes everywhere in the US, this was going on:
A: The judges TOTALLY threw Kris under the bus, AGAIN!! A: OMG what if Kris doesn't win????? B: STOP TYPING AND VOTE!!!! A: I AM VOTING! I can't type and vote at the same time! A: AHHH I want Kris to win!! I’m eating ice right now!! B: But you can vote faster if you stop typing. A: How would you know? I’m typing while power texting. B: Can’t you text faster if you’re not typing? A: There’s a 10 second delay and I type 5000 wpm! I’m still voting! B: But you can use that time to call on gizmo or something. C: STOP TYPING AND VOTE!!! BOTH of you! B: I’m just telling A to stop typing! A: I AM VOTING! Will you guys please stop telling me to vote? What do you think I’m doing?
Hahahaha!!! And I tell you, there's even a link on the Kris Allenation website called Power Texting Instructions. I kid you not. LOL.
I was all happy and shite he won then his wife had to come on stage and hug him.
RAWRRR!!!
Alright I need to get ready for work.

LAST DAY
Today is the third and last day of my stretch of day offs, which means I'm going back to work tomorrow. Criesss!!!
It's been great. Just bumming around. No sense of urgency.
I stayed up and watched the old Star Wars trilogy. Finished it. Chowed down a whole jar of Nutella. Finished it.
Good life. I'm sucha nerd. Hur hur.
Oh and in the showers this morning, I found myself singing to Miley Cyrus's The Climb . I knew the whole first verse and the chorus. By heart. The horror!
Quickly played some Radiohead after just to kinda purge the HannahMontana out of my system.
And to add more lameness to my life, this is my current favourite celebrity couple.
Yes, Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner. They both can't even watch RA movies yet.
But they are so cute! Very adorable couple.
Told you it's been a series of lame events happening in my life. Hahaha.
Work. Bleah.

CUPID SUCKS
"It's time to go on a date," said the PA with a glint in her eyes and some ernest nods for punctuation.
This was after Z put watermelon juice and snacks on my desk middle of work on Sunday. I didn't ask for them. That was not a result of my bossy streak I promise.
Z.
Sigh.
He's so nice to me. He texts me all the time asking if I want lunch/dinner, if I want him to get me anything.. But the most recent of all, one text that got the PA chuckling with glee was when he asked: What are you in the mood for today?
Does he like me? I don't know. But if asking me out for the past, erm year, means he likes me, then I guess, maybe?
He asked me out last for my birthday, wanted to take me out for drinks. But I thought, didn't the colleagues just threw me a party? So I declined. Nicely.
To be more clear, I've been declining. For all those other times also.
It's not that I'm scared, have issues or that I'm a lesbian. Really.
I don't see the point. Why should I waste either of our time yunno?
At some point, I was bored and was more inclined to oblige. I played with the notion. Maybe I'll just drop by the club tonight and catch him spin the table... But I caught myself in time. Everytime.
In a perfect world, I would say yes. We would hit it off. Sparks would fly. And I would fall for him.
But see, I don't quite want to.

DAY OFF
Admittedly, this post was typed halfass-ly. But I don't have anything better to do anyway. So. Yeah.
I like this. Doing nothing. Well practically nothing. I cleaned like a chamber maid earlier; Vacuum, mop, give the bathroom a complete scrubdown... The whole deal.
Elle asked me out for shopping but it was raining on my side of the country so I was damn nuah.
So I watched Marley & Me from my MacBook. Not the most mind-blowing movie but Jenniston is always a treat for the eyes. I cried buckets when Marley died. I like how the canine's name is derived from Bob Marley. How dope it that.
Marley reminded me of Ruth's dog, Lab. Yes, my dear friend named her labrador, Lab. Haha. Too cute. I want a dog too damnit.
You know how some people look damn hot when they are in action, doing the things they do best, but when they are actually posing for a shot, they look like shit?
I can name quite a handful of people like that, but I shan't. Well, I'll name one cos I'm going to talk about them anyhoo.
Vampire Weekend.
I love these guys. Love their music. Love their afro-influenced drum beats, and soothing synth hooks. Love it that they are from New York. Love it that they are all smart graduates from Columbia University. How hot is that. I love it. Smart musicians.
Okay, picture time.
See. They look like dorks. But I like how the shot is framed.
Smart dorky guys. Ivy league prepsters lei. Heart!
On lead vocals, my favourite, Ezra Koenig. I think you can see why. Look at the hair.
And while you're admiring all these pictures of Ezra, remember also that this dude is an English major. Nice. And look at the snobtastic fashion. Very VERY nice.
Like, erm, will you just marry me already?
Yunno they are performing at the Hyde Park this July with.. wait for it... BLUR!!! Vampire Weekend, my friends.
And F's list of favourite bands just got longer.
Yay.

OMG
The movie trailer I've been waiting and waiting and waiting to come out is finally here!!! Well it may have been around for awhile now but you know, some of us actually have to work.
Anyhoo, the movie has in it the perfect union of my two favourite TV stars, Alexis Bledel and Zach Gilford. To marry these two very handsome looking people on one screen is just.. SCREAMS!!!!
I watched it via the Apple movie trailer link (cos it's faster and of way better quality) but for the masses, I give you the YouTube version. If you're even my friend, you will watch it, cos I will test you.
I present to you: Post Grad
SO CUTE!!!!!!!
I wanna watch now now now! She is so pretty la. And Zach is just, well, I WANT HIM.
Plus the movie is just ideal for everyone and anyone who is job-hunting now, given the crappy economy.
Please please please watch, I beg thee!
And this other one, I am very stoked about too. Cos it has that kinda rough-on-the-edges feel, it's awkward and dorky. But most importantly, the guy who I think is pretty much perfect ie. Michael Cera, is in it. Yes my taste in men is highly warped and questionable.
Aish, you will dig this I'm pretty sure.
Paper Heart, ladies and gentlemen.
Can't wait. I've never watched a Michael Cera movie that I don't like. They are just so quirky and refreshing.
Sigh. So fun. Take me to the movies baby!

iREAD
My favourite bits of a book usually do not contribute much or at all to the progress or the theme of the story.
Maybe that's why as much as I love literature in school, my grades were never that fantastic. I am easily distracted by the mundane frills. But then we all know I'm not your biggest academia. I just do enough to get by.
Anyhoo, I finished Middlesex and was just astounded and then intrigued. It's quite a piece of discovery that book. We all know what the premise of the story is so I won't delve into that.
Let me just quote my favourite part. And I dedicate this to Rae, who is so far away it sucks, and because I think she is one other person who can actually appreciate it.
Before that, one tiny explanation. The Object refers to the person the narrator is somewhat crushing on. She/He calls her the Object to seemingly protect her identity. I think I'm gonna totally ripped Jeffrey Eugenides on this one, if it ever come to be.
Okay anyhoo, here goes. Venue: Bathroom.
I pee while the Object brushes.
It's then I smell smoke. Looking up, I see, besides a toothbrush in the Object's mouth, a cigarette.
"You even smoke while you brush your teeth?"
She looks at me sideways. "Menthol," she says.
Love! Hahahaha.

CUNT
A disclaimer is necessary here less you think I'm the type of girl who would flippantly bring up the subject of her genitalia to straight people of the opposite sex.
This only came up because I was bitching about my least favourite editor to D, my colleague. Least favourite editor gave me some vague cryptic instructions so I was all ticked off. So D was agreeing with me on that point and called the said editor "a cunt".
I made him take it back because I happened to like the word cunt.
f® says (21:37): dun u just love the word
f® says (21:37): it spits out
D says (21:38): yes its one of those words that seem better than the real thing
f® says (21:38): whats wrong with the real thing!
f® says (21:39): whats wrong with cunt
D says (21:39): there are pussies and there are cunts.
D says (21:39): good grief.
D says (21:40): think i shant continue..but yeah you get my drift
f® says (21:40): no i dun. whats ur issues with them cunts?!
f® says (21:40): pls do continue
D says (21:40): pussies are nicer..cuter...
D says (21:40): cunts are....like...FLAPPY
D says (21:41): like an oversized glove
D says (21:41): pussies are like mittens
D says (21:41): cunts are like lab rubber gloves
f® says (21:42): cunts are folds
f® says (21:42): like flower petals
f® says (21:42): sorry im very defensive of my anatomy
D says (21:43): no apologies. its a virtue.
D says (21:43): right?
f® says (21:43): haha okay we're not going there
f® says (21:43): let's pack up n get outta here
So we walked out of the newsroom, laughing at the ludicrousness of where our conversation went. We agreed that work got us delirious.
And this is the same D, who missed by birthday party and decided he would make up for it the following day by grabbing my face with both hands and proceeded to kiss me. In the freaking office, he planted a huge smacker on me and I could do nothing about it.
Except hope no one else in the newsroom saw what had just happened.

iDETOX
I'm always fascinated that whenever jie and I fall sick at this time and age, we'd still burrow under the comfort of our parents' care.
Dad still buy the meds for jie and I, making sure we get the best off the shelves no matter the cost, and mum still fuss over us, serving food-meant-for-the-unwell, before she leaves for work. And all these babying are extended even to my jie who is already living in a separate household.
Sometimes I wonder if we'd ever be the source of comfort for them when they are under the weather. I think hardly and I am ashamed. Sigh. Such useless kids we are. I really need to be a better daughter to such amazing, deserving parents.
So I've been taken in by the virus. I'm pretty pissed off mainly because tomorrow is my off day and I would have to waste it by recuperating and feeling miserable. Whatever la. Kitty from work got me Middlesex by Eugene Stephanides for my birthday (under my orders only cos she asked me what I wanted and I'm honest like that) so I guess I'll be reading that in bed the whole of today.
I was totally begging for this disease though. BBB (B's Birthday Bash) last Friday was wild. I'm talking skanky pole dancers involved kinda wild. I barely had three hours of sleep after cos I had to grace my mum's BFF's son's wedding with my royal presence. Heh.
The whole Saturday turned out to be this massive project to look fab and not hungover. And weddings being weddings, in that super nuah state, I still had to swat relatives' attempt to get me hooked up with random dudes. It got me thinking that I really should get a tee that says, "I really don't care if he is handsome, or is pursuing his PhD, or if he's earning a 5-figure salary. Give it up. Please."
Sunday was the Mother's Day dinner with the family. It was my treat. Ate like I hadn't eaten in a month. All that and the lack of sleep added up to this plight. My body is a taking a toll.
Friends have been nagging like the motherly wonderwalls that they are, so yes yes, I am detoxing and resting at home now okay? No more parties for awhile. Not even the 80s themed party this week where us girls born in the 80s get free entry. Happy?!!!
Anyhoo, let me share with you what's in my iPod's "Get Well Stat" playlist:
1) Cannibal Queen by Miniature Tigers 2) Kids by MGMT 3) Big Trucks by Pedro the Lion 4) You're a Wolf by Sea Wolf 5) Split Needles by the Shins 6) Oxford Comma by Vampire Weekend 7) Broadripple is Burning by Margot and the Nuclear So and So's 8) The W.A.N.D by The Flaming Lips 9) It's About Time by Barcelona 10) Around the Bend by The Asteroids Galaxy Tour
Nothing dooptz a-dooptzing so I would not be tempted. The songs don't mean anything significant nor are they intended to lull me to a state of wellness. I'm just into the easy, catchy tunes while I'm lying here horizontal and spineless in bed.
Makes me smile, toes tapping and twitching to the beat.

HUR HUR
Aish was updating me on her lurve life over MSN when somewhere along the conversation, she called me an "english-speaking heteroflexible girl who's also a pop cultural junkie."
Hmm.
That's a pretty neat, succinct, under ten-word description of me.

EXIT
Somebody please show me where the shortest route to the exit door is?! Show it to me now!!!
I'm so tired la. Just spent 12 hours at work today. No lull moment. No lunch break, no dinner break.
The week of birthday celebrations seemed so far away now. It's like someone decided, oh you're twenty four now, nah!!! And then dumped a sackful of shit on my lap cos a year of growth apparently equates extra productivity. My boss thinks that just because she gave me a fifty bucks Borders gift card she can offload more (menial, brain stumping) tasks onto me. Chee to the Bye.
Everyone I talked to, people I went to school with, all seemed to be burnt out. L was bitching about how he hates working, how he'll be happy to be the office cleaner; clear trash, wipe table, vacuum carpet then go home. I bet you that cleaner aunty will have you know (very loudly) that her job is not easy either. M's boss is milking her dry and sucking the life out of her. R is so overworked, we've basically lost touch of each other's lives when they used to be almost parallel to each other.
That's it.
I want to go into early retirement.

MAY 2ND
I was woken up on my birthday by a jolting yelp, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTY!!!" I peered from under my sheets, head still pounding from a crazy night out celebrating with the colleagues, to the sight of my dad with my nephew in his arms.
I grinned, and dragged myself out of bed despite the massive hangover.
Last night. OMG. Simply fab. You know what they got me, my colleagues? A Marc by Marc Jacobs tote bag, from the Miss Marc range. I kid you not. My jaws dropped. I thought my heart stopped for a sec when they passed me the huge paper bag.
Pretty much the whole newsroom signed on my card and still reeling in from the shock, Elle interrupted my gaze, "Ehy that's not just it you know! Look inside the bag!!" I did and what greeted me was an envelope filled with a wad of cold hard cash. $150 ish worth.
"What the fuck for?!" I screamed the entire Home Club down. Apparently even after getting the bag, they had leftover moolah from all the contributions so they thought I might as well go crazy with the rest of it. Absurd indeed, but I sure am not complaining.
I am soooo touch-ched la can. And the partying that ensued was hella fun. I saw my editors getting down on the dancefloor, oh what a sight!!! Haha. All I can say is that I'm glad they had for me the flame over liquor instead of at the tip of candles on a cake. I heart my colleagues!!!
So today, after I showered and cleaned up, what welcomed me on our living room table was this:
The parents got me a Haagen-Daz ice-cream cake. Damn sweet of them cannnnnnn.... *teary-eyed*
We always have cake in my family during birthdays but I think the parents were extra high this year, indulging me.
It was delish! Mango flavored ice-cream. Such a treat. Yummilicous!
While I was stuffing my face like a pig, my dad said he needed to talk to me after I was done. It was enough to make me wanna throw up. Everytime my dad says something like that, I get super nervous cos it usually means he knows I did something wrong and a sentence will be read out. That's how it works while me and jie were growing up. You don't mess with my dad when he's mad.
So I washed up and in sheer fear, went to face the consequences of whatever mistakes I've been busted for this time.
Turns out, he just wanted to hand me my present. It was all wrapped up in blue geometrical paper. I wasn't expecting anything to be honest. Well, cash at most then I'll go straight to Agnes B to get me something. The present in question was something else.
I ripped the paper apart and TA DAAAA!!!!
They got me a MacBook. I was stunned and almost immediately, started bawling. Not the gentle subtle tearing. I literally went into the ugly cry. It was way and beyond my imagination and expectations.
This year has got to be the best birthday I've had EVER. I feel so loved and lucky. Maybe it does get easier the older you are, I don't know. I just feel so blessed to have all these people in my life, family and friends who have done so much to make this day a truly memorable one.
I love you guys. Thank you, thank you so much. *sobs*

THANKEW BABYCAKES!!!
A shout out to the sorority for making last night a blast! Thank you for bending, breaking, even totally annihilating your principles, morals, ethics, beliefs, habits and sheer water-face to succumb to my every whim and fancy.
And that was meant for each and everyone of you.
Thank you also for still sticking by me even after I took our friendship to a whole new level after resorting to pee in the bush.
I can't tell you enough how grateful I am that you girls erm, helped be the guards and watch-eyes while I pulled my pants down outside the club, in public, because my bladder was bursting and the queue for the loo in the club was far too long.
If you don't pick my my calls or answer my text tomorrow, I'll know why. And I understand. It was unruly and unbecoming of me. Haha.
Seriously. I had the most fun despite the fact that I'm totally dysfunctional from the waist down at the moment due to excessive dancing.
I got to summon all upper body strength to get me to work in awhile. Yes I'm heading to work in abit. Tonight is also the night of the birthday bash which the colleagues organised for me.
Hopefully I don't pass out from fatigue in the midst of this marathon of celebrations.
